4.3 Chevy Silverado 2000

So my battery went dead so I put a new
alternator on showed 12.8 from alternator an
12.7 on my red top battery replace the fuse
link wire as well also check for any loose
wires or grounds all seem intact just curious
if anyone else could give an idea note also
checked fuses an relays

I think you are not getting any charge from the alternator. You should be seeing around 13.5 to 14.5 volts.
That’s what I thought but I went back to parts store an changed it out with two different other ones still reads same when they put there tester on it it said bad regulator then it says battery good needs charged which is what it said be 4
But put it on their tester in the store says alternator pass did it 4 times to make sure
The juice is not making it to the battery. Check the wiring, connections and fuses.

Check to see if you have power going to alternator use a 12 volt tester connect tester to negative side of battery or ground touch tester to the power going to alternator ( the one wire that goes to alternator ) should have constant power all the time even with vehicle not running.
Thanks everyone I found out what it was some one had tape a wire an it was rubbing on my intake which was the fuse able link wire barely see the nick in the wire
