Ouch buddy, sounds like you blew a head gasket. Sounds like the head gasket blew into a water port. That would have the following symptoms. When cold it would start fine and prob drive fine, but when it warms up or been runing for a few minutes, the compression from the blown cylinder fills up your water system with compressed air, to a point where the water system gets so much pressure in it that it starts blowing water back into the cylinder. And of course it wets the plug and the motor would start runing on 3 cylinders, simular to a car with loss of spark to the plug. If you swich the car off and try to start it In a few minutes the cylinder fills with water and will battle to start. Once the motor is swiched of for lets say, a hour or more, the presure buildup in the water system gets less, and stops pushing back into the cylinder. and the water evaporates out of the cylinder head from the heat left in the engine. That is why it wil start again. Few ways to check if it is the gasket . Is your bakie using water but there is no visual water leak any where? , wait till its cold, fill with water , leave off the water bottle cap, start it and check if there is any bubles, well your bantam will prob push the water right out, cause by the sound of. Things it is badly blown already. It should not push any water out for atleast the first 4 or 5 minutes from cold start.. . You could also check if there is any water in the oil. Stop the motor, open the oil cap and check for any white, milky looking stuff inside, that would mean the water is geting in the engine, also check the dipstick for the same thing. But im prity sure its blown. If it is, and you gonna attempt to replace the gasket yourself..... do yourself a favour. TAKE THE HEAD IN TO GET SKEEMED before replacing. Rocam Head gaskets leave nasty round imprints on the head but this is to seal properly. The new one will not seal. If you dont have it skeemed and you will sit with the exact same problem as now within a day or 2 max. Good luck with that blown head gasket just dont take any shortcuts repairing it. A head skeem only cost around R250 and a gasket about R200 at most. And then its done properly
