Tempature of coolant sending unit for fan on/off....not gauge on dash that sending unit is in the block
will i broke one of the wires changing the radiator, will it be ok to drive the car until i get a new wire? or should i keep it parked.
You will be OK to drive it as long as you do not sit at stoplights for lengthy periods, aviod driving stop and go and then only for long times. At maybe 45 or above, no worries, that is good air flow w/o fan, it's winter, but do get it fixed, Sooner or later you will need it, probably sooner. And if you simply cut a wire, do a temp splice, if you broke the plug connector get one asap but you can drive to get it.
one more question? so i started the car and the fans are running all the time. this is just the opposite of what i expected. is this right?
Then you crossed wires, or the broken one breaks continuinty and the fan runs. They should not run all the time, matter of fact it's better to have them not working than running all the time as long as you drive fast enough (without getting a ticket, safety first ya know) to have ait flow, like I said 40-45 will create enough. Keep an eye on the gauge!!!
