96 chevrolet s10 blazer

Asked by 96s10blazer Mar 07, 2016 at 02:24 PM about the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

Question type: General

I have a blazer per my user name, randomly getting
a vibration. Feels like rear drive shaft but everything
feels tight, the only loose thing i could find
underneath is the front driveshaft joint on the t case
side(dont know the exact name of that joint) and it
doesnt move much but the collar around does
move just a hair. I dont feel anything in the steering
wheel when it happens or any feeling of front
wheels wanting to go where the steering wheel isnt
pointed. Its been happening for a couple years but
recently it has been happening more often and i
dont want to go throwing parts so id rather try and
narrow it down more to start off with. Thank you in
advance.

Why not start replacing u joints, they're not that much. I had same problem and one day shaft fell off, lol. Should have taken my own advice but put it off until...well u know rest!

the steering coupler may have gone soft on ye~ they call it a "rag" joint here~ https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=AhqPMigKBD8
