rough start...every time.
Hi there! I've been having a weird starting issue
with my 92 s10 Blazer. I'm not terribly well versed
in mechanics (but I'm getting better!), so I thought
I'd throw my problem on here and see what
happens! Pretty much every single time I start my
truck it starts to rock and roll (shake), sputter like
it's going to 'die', but eventually evens out and runs
great. Sometimes the problem only lasts for 3-5
seconds, sometimes it's upwards of 30 seconds or
more (and I get really freaked out). Now... I've
replaced A LOT since I've had it. The previous
owner rarely ever drove it, and the things I've
replaced were done for the FIRST TIME. New: Fuel
pump MAP sensor O2 sensor Distributor EGR valve
Plugs, wires Fuel filter Battery Injectors rebuilt
Throttle position sensor I think that's it... I recently
took it to a Chevy dealership to check out what I
thought was a potential VSS problem and they
noticed that it was missing the return spring on the
throttle body, but said that it wasn't really a big
deal. Could that be potentially causing the start up
problem, though? Chevy also discontinued the
part...could I rig one for it from a different model? I
was also wondering if anyone thought that it could
maybe an ignition problem? There's no check
engine light, and it isn't throwing any codes. I'm
super confused, and at my wits end! Any input
would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much!
