Not sure about yours but some vehicles have sensors on the trunk box. Is it in the down position for the top to go in?

Can that be tracked down electrically, I have checked all the plugs at the pump any suggestions.

Right now the top is up when I unlock the windows drop but you push the switch and nothing.
With the work being done I agree with Tom. Check the trunk lid closed switch and the trunk box switch. One is probably not showing closed properly.

I will check them to make sure they have been connected. Thanks

You have a divider panel in the trunk. If this is not snapped in the top will not work. The panel is there to prevent cargo from going into the area where the top is stored when down.
I have no LED display error on the dash. When I hit the button I hear a sound like a relay. Is there a fuse that provides the power? If so how is it marked?
Check the shell that covers the top is fastened. You can even pull up om it slightly.
Pull up on the shell slightly. See if it moves. Or push down in the center to see if it's snapped close.
with mine, it is through the e-brake, if the brake light does not come on in the dash the roof won't go up, and that only happens when car is warm, works when cold
