The purple wire is for the power to the tail lights. Where ever it is broke from, it should be in the area of the length of that wire. Just have to find the other end to it.
Every time i turn on the lights to my truck the rear driver side does not turn on but the brake and signal work when using.. What could be the problem?
Tail light not working but brake does. Changed bulb and no difference. I found a purple wire not connected not sure what wire it goes to?

Bulbs are good, reverse lights work, brake lights work. Tail lights just will not turn on, whether I have it set to auto or I turn the switch to the on position.
