2004 Chevy Fuel Filter

My truck will start up and run fine but will chug out when I really put my foot
into it or go up steep hills?  I recently believe I got bad gas as our car did the
same thing the day before the truck started this.  We have always used
Safeway fuel but not anymore.  Is this just a fuel filter issue?  It is a 2004
Silverado club cab 4x4.  Where would I locate the filter?
