Oil leak

Asked by GuruZLY4C Oct 31, 2017 at 04:04 PM about the 1993 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sedan

Question type: General

My 93 crown Vic just started leaking oil. Not
a heavy flow but is definitely leaking. Is this
a big problem? And will it cost a ton to fix?

Check your oil level daily if necessary so you don't burn the motor up.

If your car is leaking oil where the motor connects to the transmission, it could be a Rear Main Seal. The tranny needs to be removed to replace this seal, and replacing the seal will cost between $450 to $550 + any taxes.
