Ford five hundred ignition problems

I have a 500 hundred... This is second
starter in 4 months that I've changed...  off
and on with both sometimes you don't
even hit start with the key just get it to run
and it turns over itself. And then
sometimes it doesn't and you have to
physically turn the key to start could this
be the ignition switch in the steering
column or something else?
