check engine light is staying on
The only way you're going to know what the light means is to have a place plug in an ODBII diagnostic reader to tell you what the light means. Once you know what it is you can make the determination if it's a major or minor problem. A number of auto parts stores like NAPA or Auto Zone stores do it, along with some of the bigger oil change places. The check engine light can go on for 1 of a thousand different reasons. Does your vehicle have any symptoms of a problem?
