when is the time to put in a new timimg belt

your timing belt should be done around 80,000 to 100,000 miles ...also the water pump is driven by the timing belt and it good practice to do both at the same time ...so many times the belt is just done and then a few months later the pump either leaks or makes noise and the same job has to be done all over again ...and its not an easy job it takes about 7.2 hours to do including removing the freon from the system ..also the cam and crank seals should be inspected and replaced as well along with the engine mounts
