Would like to find a "points type" distributor for my 1999 Gr. Cherokee 4.0L.

Just in case all the electronics was "fried" by an EMP, or something similar.....?

Scientist vary in their thinking about what exactly would be damaged by an EMP. If there was serious damage fuel would be unavailable due to the computers that control the gas pumps, fuel could not be delivered and you could not pay for anything. Cars are a pretty good faraday cage and it is possible that not much damage would result during an EMP. Something that is probably not worth worrying about. An asteroid strike might be more probable and more of a concern.

Thanks for your views, Bob.You may be right about the Solar Flares also, but I have the Jeep, Thought an early intake/carb,, distributor, electric fuel pump, etc. would be a viable option. The computer controls everything now, but a few switches can by-pass all that. Thanks again, Bob.
