transfer case problem

Asked by Alfie Jul 14, 2018 at 05:17 AM about the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi from South Africa. I have a question about my jeep. It will not move. If the trasfer case is in 4 wheel drive and i push the gas it makes a noise and will not move. If i put it in neutral and give it gas their is no noise. It does not want to shift to low. My gearbox is in drive when i do it. Is it the tranfer case that is the problem or the gearbox. I think it is the transfer case. Just want to make sure about it
