2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Dies In Drive
So my 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo AWD (6cyl)
is constantly overheating. The cooling fan wasn't
turning on when it needed to do I changed the
cooling fan sensor, now the fan runs continuously,
even when the jeep is off. I'm assuming there's a
short or it's wired wrong. But ever since then, my
jeep will just die when I put it in drive, not reverse or
if I hurry and put in D2 it will run. But as soon as it's
in drive it shuts off like I turned the car off. It did this
a few months back, but we thought the battery was
bad so we replaced it, checked the alternator and
somehow the problem just went away and now it's
acting up again.
I was thinking maybe it could be the transmission
speed sensors.. I have had problems with the cruise
here and there and when it was driving, sometimes
it had a hard time shifting, but I'm not exactly sure.
