What is wrong when your power locks and windows don't work after you took the door panel off?

Asked by vwallace2 Jul 30, 2017 at 03:06 PM about the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I found that my door panel on the drivers side was getting loose and one day
it came off when I closed the door.  I lined the door up with the yellow
clips(don't know what the clips are called) and tightened the screws because
2 of them were stripped.  I put the door back and tighened everything up and
now the power locks don't work or the windows.  What did I do wrong when
putting the door back together.

There is a wiring harness connects to the window and lock controls on the door panel. Sounds like the control unit plug is no longer securely connected. Take the door panel off and check the connection to the window/lock unit.
