2003 jeep grand Cherokee 4 wheel drive

Asked by Guru9931WX Oct 21, 2020 at 10:32 PM about the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: General

On my 2003 jeep grand Cherokee it twisted the front drive
shaft in 2 I was wondering if the Hubs were locking and
stayed locked in that caused this or if it was something in
the transfer case cause I think it is also causing
transmission problems because after it twisted off the
transmission was fine

If it was in 4x4 and excess spinning happened it could rip the shaft ive seen it a few times it could have bound up when it was turning and when it was give more throttle the weakest point gave but it not likely it probably spun a little bit to much if it stayed in 4x4 or just the hubs locked it probably would burn up the hubs first
