1999 lincoln town car engine starting to shake with no code

Asked by Ashton Oct 03, 2024 at 06:43 PM about the 1999 Lincoln Town Car Signature

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I started noticing a problem that has under 100,000 miles in a 1999 Lincoln
town car, where the engine was shaky and not accelerating as well, the check
engine light came on, when it i went to autozone and noticed corrosion around
the battery ports and cleaned them off and reconnected and the light went
away and it drove better, now the car is still a little shaky and doesnt
accelerate at low gears the best. No code is pulled up

Most likely a misfire. When was the last tune up done? If you don't know or it's been a very long time, I'd do that first. Jim
