2000 Grand Am Please Help?!
I have a 2000 Grand Am and I'm trying to figure out what's
actually wrong with it. My car runs hot then shuts completely
off. And now it doesn't start. This has happened twice.I had a
bad battery so I took that out and I notcied that I had a hole in
my radiator hose. My step dad use to always tell me to put
water inside my thing that cools the car down. I always put
water inside of it like he said. But I don't think I was ever
suppose to because after I pour water in it. And I would fill it
all the way up to where it overflows. The car will run hot. And
when I check my water its completely empty. So I think its the
radiator hose. I also checked my oil and its dark brown so I
don't think I blown a head gasket because the oil would be like
a caramel color.. right? So I finally started my car up after on
last time and it would turn over but it wont ignite or start up.
And my step dad would say "It's a goner" because he says it
has no compression but I just need a second opinion, and it is,
is there any way I can fix it, instead of having to get a whole
new engine?? So I have Noooo clue what's wrong!!! I know I
need a new battery and a radiator hose but I'm just trying to
see if that's the real problem. Sooo if there are any good
mechanics can you PLEASE give me some advice to see what's
the matter?!
