Why is my car over heating

Did you check to see if you fan(s) are engaging. If not you may need to change the fan relay or possibly the fan(s) themselves. Also, check the fuses for the fans. Blown fuses can cause havoc on all sorts of things and it’s a simple effortless fix. Good luck.

Have all cylinders compression tested and test for exhaust in coolant to be sure the head gasket is not blown before dumping more money down the drain these models are widely known for head gasket issues. Temp sensor, fan relay, fan fuse, Bad reservoir or cap, hose's. The thermostat is not a sensor nor is there a actual thermostat sensor, there is a temp sender and a temp sensor, the latter will if bad keep the fans from coming on unless the A/C is on.
