Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Went to go to work this morning and when I
started the car it was running funny rpms were
jumping from very low to 1500, got on the highway
up to 70 no issue once I got to the exit a low
engine power message came up and the gas pedal
wasnt responding, sat on the side of the road for a
half an hour then the car started up and ran like
there wasnt an issue just jumping or messages.not
sure what to do and hoping it's not a fatal issue.

Check your oil. If its super low that might have done it. After that, have it scanned for trouble codes. The computer will have stored information about what put it into low power mode. Probably an electronic issue of some sort. If it happened once it will likely happen again. These problems rarely just go away.
