fixing transmission on 2001 Subaru forester

My car has been repaired 3 times for the alt oil temp light flashing.  none of the
repairs worked.  now the mechanic says it's the transmission.  I use this
mechanic all the time, for years.  Should I fix the car? should I take it to
another mechanic? Thanks.

Are you sure the car is worth the money to repair it? It cannot hurt to get another opinion.
