Battery charging system

Battery charging system
warning coming on. Battery is
new and good, Altinator is good.
Battery doesn't recharge.
Replaced positive cable. Car
starts perfectly. What could the
problem be

Before I found out that now days the voltage regulator isn't seperat, I did the old school method were you disconnect the positive cable from the battery and if it stays running it's good. Honesty I have not gotten a professional check on the alternator to be certain.

Never disconnect the battery on a running engine. You can damage all kinds of expensive things. Get the alternator tested and go from there.
