My steering locked up and car wouldn't run. It was still on but engine wasn't on.

sound like an issue between the key and switch. Might require removing the steering wheel to mend this one.

My step father is a mechanic. I dont trust him much but he said it might be the head gasket. My father is law said it might be the coil something idk..?

ok well my steering didn't lock up. it was just because of the power steering. The temp gauge did shoot up before it shut off.
