When should the timing belt be replaced?

Interested in buying a 2000 Honda CR-V EX. It's only got 83,000 miles on it. When does
the timing belt need to be replaced?

Replace Timing Belt no later than 105 thousand miles, buy a kit so you can replace all the belts, seals And tensioner pulley

After replaceing timing belt also adjust the valves with engine cold

Replace the timing belt at 5 years or 105,000 miles. That 2000 Honda is 15 years old so if buying it plan on a timing belt and related parts immediately.

wrong. it has a timing belt. chain started in model year 2002. and they don't last life of car either. google 2002 crv timing chain and you will see.
