Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ive got a 97 s10 2.2 manual transmission.  Please
understand the problem I'm fixing to describe
started before I ever turned a bolt. My motor had a
knock in the bottom and i was going to swap
someday anyway but before that i was going to
drive it until. It had to be done. I was pulling out of
the driveway and suddenly it would die when I give
it gas. So i got it back in the drive. It would crank
and idle but if i give it gas it would die.so I replaced
the whole fuel system and filter, had pressure
check and it was good but still doing the same.idle
but die when I give it gas. Since then i have
swapped motors and still the same. I have
replaced the fuel injectors, tps sensor,  map sensor,
air flow valve sensor, plugs and wires, temp sensor,
egr sensor,  even the ecm, and still the same
thing.ive replaced the relays checked fuses had the
truck put on a machine and all the codes were the
old ones that have been replaced. Even checked
my Cadillac converter checked.but still the same
thing. Can anyone please help me out I cant figure
out what to do I've been out almost 2 grand
between the motor,  fuel, and sensors but it's still
doing the same thing. Crank and idle and dies
when I give it gas. And my fuel gauge stays on half
a tank past full...

Seems like ur missing something in ur description. If u replaced ECM same codes should have changed? Start with the codes and try figure why they are being set off. Test the components first if u can not just replacing them. Google how to test them.
