Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 99 Chevy s10. We bought it, and it was
working great. As soon as we got onto the highway, we
noticed the oil pressure drop to 0 and the truck dying.
We were able to restart it, and start driving again. A
few miles down the road, there was no power and the
truck died. Restarted it. Repeat. At this point, there's
misfires, black smoked, a significant fuel loss, oil
pressure for limited amounts of time, engine physically
moving all the hell over. Noises like flipping, squeaking,
maybe knocking?,

Might be fuel pump?

Sounds like a total piece o' sh^t. I suspect multiple issues starting with a bad engine.
