Have someone turn your key to on position while you take off gas cap if fuel pump is working it may be good!! Then check neutral starting switch on tranny!! That will be your problem!!You can run a jumper wire in fuse box from radio fuse to your gauge fuse it should work then!!
Running out of gas is rough on a fuel pump. Many times they will over heat due to no fuel in the tank. I would check all your fuses but hate to say your fuel pump is probably shot.
They are probably right. You can try this. The pump is located in almost the center of the tank.Use a hammer or tire tool to hit the bottom of the tank. This may allow the pump to spin. FYI you can gain access to the pump by unbolting the bed disconnect the filler neck and wire harness and set the bed up on the rear wheels. Get a buddy to help .
check the relay under the hood, take the one from the horn swap them then try, mine has done it 2 times and the fuel pump wont run when its tripped.
