From what the internet says, the sticking in 3rd gear on this model RAM is common. The only thing I can think of that you can do yourself is replace your transmission fluid. Before you actually replace the fluid, open up the transmission on the bottom (like you would if you were replacing the fluid) and look in the tray. If you see metal shavings then you'll probably need to have a transmission specialist crack it open and take a look. Some cars/trucks have a magnet that will collect those metal shavings at the bottom, I'm not sure if yours does. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T FLUSH IT OR POUR OUT THAT TRAY BEFORE LOOKING INTO IT.
