Major ground points for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L?

Asked by Guru3BRRB Jul 05, 2020 at 12:36 PM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I sure would appreciate diagrams or photos!  I have found two corroded and
broken ground straps and would like to know  where they all are, in case some
are missing completely.  Also I need to see  where they connect!  I have no
idea how this truck ever ran with "optional" ground straps.

Basically ground straps connect the engine and the frame. The exact location is not critical as long as the connection is good. Look for a convenient bolt to use as a connection point.

Thanks F_O_R! , But do you happen to know, how many of them are there? I have found two so far, with obviously different connection points to the engine block.
