Could a transmission be the reason for my truck to start in the morning, but doesnt start any time after that?

The dealership shop is saying it keeps getting trasnmission codes and that it needs a new one? It doesnt make sense to me.. If i could get any feed back that would be great thanks..

allways check out all options in this case you need to list codes being shown from those codes u post or look up yourself will help big time

It starts right up in the cold morning.. But after i drive it and it sits a bit it will not turn over unless i put the gas to the floor than it fires right up.. I take it to the dealership shop and they say well we've had no problems starting it but it is getting transmission codes.. The transmission is $1600 and thats used at 83K.. I just dont want to do all that and have it still not starting.. I do not know what to do at all right now..
