i have a clk 320 cab the boot wont open while roof is up and the roof release
button flashes red..i dont think its locking into place..when the roof is down the
boot opens...any ideas

For starters, refer to pages 244- 247 of the owners manual...... if all conditions are OK, lightly whack each lock position (4) to ensure they are seated properly. One possibility is the sensor for the trunk partition is faulty or out of alignment. Also, check the trunk (boot) latch for any crap in it or misalignment. Even small stuff can confuse the circuit Past that, it may be time for a professional diagnosis.
