Mercedes 320 clk cabriolet boot will not open

Asked by Sleezie Apr 30, 2017 at 11:30 AM about the 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 Cabriolet

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery is flat on my 320clk cab. I do not have the 3
prongs under the cap in the front just an earth. I have drilled
my boot lid until it looks like a Swiss cheese there is no rod
in the back to pull up! It is a UK model 2002 any ideas. My
latest it to scrap it as I am now very frustrated

I don't believe that this is real. But if you are crazy enough to drill into your car??? There is a black box under your hood, with a little flimsy black plastic cover. This is about the size of a common saltine cracker. Pop off the plastic piece and jump positive on the terminal and negative on your fender.

As I stated in my question the box does not have 3 prongs just an earth which is of no use for this. This is a UK car only has one terminal in box
