Does the "bio-degradable" wiring harness issue apply to a 1996 SL320?

Hmmm, I've heard from many sources that the harness issue was resolved with the 96 model year and possibly also fixed on late 95 cars. Ask a dealer's service dept. for sure. My 96 SL500 does not have that wiring and with all of the service records from new, none indicate any wiring replacement either.
