No, don't go to a BMW dealership. you're best bet to find out, or even get one, would be a Part Source, or of similar place. Part Source doesn't dick around with you and give you a battery they THINK you might need. They'll actually take the time and energy to give you the voltage and crank power you need for a BMW starter. And to top it off, its not even expensive. For whatever parts you need, parts source is the best place to go.

not at bmw. nearly twice the price. no need to buy a "shock proof" one either.....wont last much longer. :-)

i replaced mine last weekend at O'Reilly's auto parts right off the shelf...
