I had a breather hose replaced in my 99 passat now it will only turn over, but not start. Any ideas? Please help.

yes...someone bumped the power to the ignition...or forgot to put the rotor back into the distributor when they serviced you car....check for spark by using a long screwdriver in place of a sparkplug...hold 'er close to ground and look for a spark...if there ain't none would track it back to the high- tension components....also that little springy carbon button in the middle of the distributor cap has to be in place....for a start~
