Motor is jerking at speeds between 45-60. When let up on gas pedal and then reapply pedal harder. Motor stops jerking and acts as it should. Whats up with my car?

Possibly a throttle position sensor has gone bad.
Get the codes read to find out what is causing the misfire. The car should have around 90,000 miles - have you changed the spark plugs?
sounds like a coil or plug. find out which cylinder is misfiring and replace that cylinders coil and plug. if you around 100k do a tune up replace all the plugs and the coil boots. but put a coil on the one that is misfiring if its done it for some time it will have already ruined that coil but if other are not misfiring at this time just putting boots on the remaining should be fine
Read the codes, for it to reset if you retard throttle and reapply it points to TPS. BUT, read the codes first.
