I have a 2007 Charger RT and the engine light came on. It has just over 85,000 miles on it and this is the first problem. So, it is off to the shop tomorrow.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The engine light came on today after driving about 7 miles. I have no idea
what might be wrong so it goes to the shop tomorrow and see what they
have to say. This is the first problem that I have had except for the air bag
recall. The owners manual is a waste of time. They should save some
money and stop printing the or at least give the owner some idea as to what
might be wrong.

Generally at this mileage are your oxygen sensors. 80K - 100K when they need replaced.

if you want some advanced information, many auto parts stores will scan the computer codes for you for free. at least you will have an idea of what you are in for at the mechanic.
