It could just be a bad battery connection but it could also be a bad starter. I would start by cleaning and tightening the battery connections.

And that does make sense because GM's have common issues and recalls at that interlock area where the ignition switch and key combines,

For us it was the fuse block under the rear passenger seat as well. When the mechanic took it out it was toast. This blog was very helpful to diagnose it thank you.

For me it was the internal mode switch which is located underneath the transmission oil pan connected to the lower control body valve it's sold as a whole assembly or you can get it separately from a dismantler at a local wrecking yard. I had to remove and replace the internal mode switch after doing that everything worked fine. there is no neutral safety switch on this one because that is the 4T080 e standard transmission and the regular standard one has an neutral safety switch located above the transmission located on the control shifter but the 4t80-e S5S transmission has an internal mode switch located underneath the oil pan and lower body control valve which initiates and indicates a dashboard selection for a shifting mode on the dashboard thanks everybody that was what solved my problem cars lives matter
Why none of the electrical components wont work on the drivers side of a 2006 buick lecerne
I have a 07 Buick Lucerne and I kept needing jumps took it to a few shops nobody could figure it out then a backyard mechanic unplug my remote car starter and it would start fine after that now 3 months later it is not starting again the radio comes on but no crank or clicking. Battery is brand new alternator is good too

These cars have two recalls for electrical issues, I have seen posted on kelly bluebook but if i had already checked all fuses and all possible relays, plus battery seem to be 12volts, i'd see if i was at least in park and test the starter at twelve volts with a multimeter from a local auto parts store, depending on the issue you may have to clarify more what your seeing
Which fuse on this diagram is the 60amp fuse. Just changed the battery and that wasn’t it.
I did everything mines Crank when it want to. So tell me what's my problem is. Because I think someone die in it

When we had a mechanic that talked to me, I told him from various forums that it was likely going to be a large fuse block under the rear seat and when I saw how toasted it was, it kinda scared me because I was worried about ever having it catch on fire under my passengers. It was a dealer only item and luckily was one in stock at the dealership. Installed by the fellas and I was on my way. Its been two years without problems knock on wood! Still driving it with 318K miles. Overall a good car with a 3.8L engine.
