Still running hot after freeze plug replaced

Car started smoking and running hot. Took to mechanic
and he replaced freeze plug. Now car still running hot.
What next?

Try replacing the heater hose fittings ( The Elbows). They sit right above the water pump. They connect to the serpentine belt tensioner. The ones that are made of plastic , leaks and causes the vehicle to run hot. Replace with the metal set. I hope this works for you.
