My question is why does the 6 speed automatic transmission in my 2012
Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 act like it shifts into neutral while driving along normally. The
highest year it would let me select is a 99,..it is actually a 2012

Yes, the fluid was at the correct level,, however it was very burnt, and smelly. I dropped the pan today and cleaned everything really spotless, installed a new filter, added new fluid, and now it works just fine. Thank you for your time, and consideration.
