98 C1500 350 Good Pressure No Fuel to Cylinders

Asked by Whonoze1 Oct 07, 2019 at 12:26 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed fuel pump, crank sensor, distributor (old one showed issues). I
hooked up pressure tester and got 60 psi. I've checked all fuses and are
good.
After changing pump, I had cam pos. sensor code and ended up with a new
dist. but after install, the engine started then died, never to run again. Pulled
codes and got a lot of O2 sensors and a new crank code so I changed that.
Engine will run dumping in fuel but not through injectors.

Sounds like the injectors are not opening. Did you say you changed the cam sensor or just the crank sensor? I believe the cam sensor signal is what controls the injectors through the ecm.

I changed the distributor that included a cam sensor. I'm thinking I either need a new ECM or somehow ended up with a tank full of bad gas. I find it hard to have gotten so much bad gas that it won't run but as sudden as it quit running, my options seem to point to something keeping the injectors from opening. Going to inspect the quality of bad fuel in the morning. I'll let you know. I hate to do it but I'm thinking about blaming it on Trump.

if you have a bad ground in the ecm to the injector banks they wont open.
