Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced trans and torque converter with one
from jasoer. Also replaced transfer case. Truck
won't move forward or backwards

I hope you have a warranty because you need it. I strongly suspect your new transmission has gone bad.

I think it might be electrical because I had the same issue with the last one. Idk where to start looking

Did the trans work for a while? Did you install it or did someone else?

The trans that was in it worked for a while then something broke. Heard a loud noise and everything stopped working so I replaced transfer case and that didn't fix it so I replaced the trans and same problem

Even if you cut power to the trans it defaults to 2nd gear. The gear selector controls the hydraulic circuits to get between park, reverse, neutral and drive. It will pull no matter the electonics. If your transfer case is broken or the trans didn't get rebuilt right

Figured it out. The transfer case i got has the wrong input spline. Mine is a 27 the new one is a 32. Swapping input shafts and should be good as new
