2006 Saab 9-3 A/C problem

Asked by bperry0101 May 18, 2013 at 08:41 PM about the 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a question about the a/c. When I am driving in the city on the main roads, the a/c
seems to be working, although at times it will get warm. If I put it down to low it does
come out cold, but when I am on the highway going 70 or so, the a/c doesn't seem to be
working, it is just blowing hot air. Bought a can of r134 but didn't want to waste the can or
the money if the community doesn't think it is a charging issue.

To properly check your ac, you will need a set of refrigeration gauge, on the suction side of the refrigeration circuit, you are looking for 31psi . in the mean time you want to clean your wondering coil, located in front of your radiator.also check or replace your cabin air filter. Do the last two procedure before attempting to add any freon.
