how can you tell if fuel pump is going bad

have a 2007 rav 4 just replaced alternator and the battery light comes on and
off some times but main problem is the car lacks power taking off and seems
to struggle at times like its not getting enough gas. but replaced all plugs and
wires about 2 yrs ago and ran fine but then the alternator went out and it
makes a rattle when driving it at slow speed and lacks power at the same
time any info to begin to solve this problem would be great!!

You would have to put a gauge on there to check fuel pressure. One thing it could be is a bad fuel regulator.

Of course you should have a fuel service perform according to maintenance schedule in your owners manual.
