Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The lights,  radio and A/C came on. When I pushed the start button everything went off. A
few seconds later everything came on again, once again after pushing start button
everything went off this happened over and over. The doors also locked. I tried putting
the Fob in and same thing happened. On star said Vettes go to sleep when not driven for
that long. My car only has 11,000 miles on it and I bought it new. I don't drive much as
you can tell from the low mileage and this never happened before. It has even sat for
over a month without even starting it and started just fine after that.My question is, is
the sleep mode true and if so how do I wake the lazy thing up?

your battery is probably kaput~ 2008 makes it a grandpa~~get a reputable one like Interstate or NAPA~ (not walmart)~

Get a new battery. Then, it would be a good idea to keep it on a battery tender. This will keep your battery fully charged at all times, so when you haven't driven the car for some time, it will always start right up. I've used them for years and feel the $25 investment is well worth it!

I sense a bit of frustration. Low or weak batteries will keep going for a bit if constantly used, but will not hold a charge for an extended period. Dealer batteries are expensive, and not of the better quality. Do some search for good batteries and look at discounts or sales. Make sure it is a recent manufactured battery, with a good guarantee. Also make sure it is made to go into a 2008 Corvette. Sorry for your loss. I too have a battery tender on my Vette as I do not drive it as much as I should. Summer is here though and in So. Cal. the rains are gone. Even if I drive it a lot, I still attach the battery tender when I park it for more than two days.
