when ever i make left or right turns my car makes a knocking sound what could this be?

IT WOULDN'T Have anything to do with shocks or a rubber piece on the shocks?

Need more info. Does it just make one knock per turn, or is it a continuous knocking?? Does the frequency vary with vehicle speed?? Will it make the knock while sitting still or do you have to be moving?? Do you hear the noise when you go over bumps in the road??
