Actually, I think the best range for a replacement car is between 130,000 and 145,000 miles.... Otherwise, how's it been working for you.

Malibu's loose value fast so I would sell it while its running good if you plan on using that money to go toward a new or newer car.
enginecreator. -. SO, why do they depreciate so quickly?
Is this what you're saying, see this link below, http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2009/Chevrolet/MALIBU-4- Cyl/Sedan-4D-LS/Values

Well I would like to say its not because of its reliability but they are questionable in that area. Gm Has had this issue now for a while. Trucks do better. They have little resale value after the warranty. (less than most American models) If your looking for resale value buy a truck or Honda, Toyota. And I like American its just they have had issues that they refuse to fix and Gov is letting them get away with safety violations and not holding them accountable for issues that they force imports from Japan to follow and force recalls on those for everything and they are better cars because of it. Its that simple.
enginecreator-. SO, you think Subaru's are generally better ...

Actually no. I won't buy one or a VW unless its an older bug/bettle, no buys for Saab, Ford Explorer, Honda CRV, Ford Tempo, Certain years of most makes and models, later year Lincoln's. Saturn, Mercedes loose value too fast. I can not believe the Ford Explorer is allowed to be sold still, all automatics have transmission issues that they have had 20 years to fix and won't, not to mention if a tire blows out the it will roll over. I may be leaving a some out. Before buying search the net and find the issues with that model, all have some, just some are really over the top.
