You have to take the plastic cover off the trunk and check the solenoid and the everything else there.

Had this issue. No lights, no power, no response from fob. Couldn't even open the trunk with fob or button in car to check battery. I had to access trunk from access in back seat and was able to open with the emergency open latch with use of long pole. Long story short, positive terminal (+) was loose. Tightened and car came back from the dead.

Thank You!!! Truck would not open for 3 days and did not know why? I was about to schedule a visit with the dealer but before I did that I decided to reserach on the internet! Low and behold I found this site and read about the valet lock out button! Sure enough i went outside located the button and pressed it and now my truck opens....Perfect and thank you!!!!

Remove key from the fob and open the trunk manually. Key can be inserted in the trunk lock above license plate on left side. Had to do this when my battery failed.
