I HAVE A TOYOTA CAMRY SE 2010. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE RISES WHEN ABNORMALLY WHEN DOING 80KMPH BUT FALLS TO THE RIGHT LEVEL WHEN THE CAR IS IDLE OR DOING A SPEED 60KMPH OR LESS

Asked by TCSE Nov 19, 2014 at 07:35 AM about the 2010 Toyota Camry SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I HAVE CHECKED THE FAN WHICH IS RUNNING FINE, WASHED THE RADIATOR
GRILL MADE IT A BIT BETTER,
BUT PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL TYPE ?

Your Camry specifies 0W20 synthetic. That's the only 0W20 available anyway and change it if it has more that10,000 miles on it. I change mine @7500 miles. But it's probably the water pump, thermostat or simply low coolant. In that order.
